Everybody get Jazzed!!!

I wished I had my camera with me. Friday morning I decided that I didn't want to the same old thing for our date night. (FYI date nights are the best thing that we have ever done). So I get on the Internet and searched for things to do in Ogden. Anyway a couple of hours, yes hours, later I had visited about 15 sites. Nothing in Ogden. Which means we had to branch out. Salt Lake City. Dang now I have to get a babysitter. (having Michelle almost 11 does have some benefits) Carly (fabulous babysitter by the way) saved us, she was available or in desperate need of money! Any way Jazz had a home game against the Pacers. So we shop around and found some tickets that weren't to bad; price or view. So away we went. It was so fun! Vernon gets intense while watching Sports (yes typical guy) the thing is Vernon doesn't often get to watch so I think we both had a good time. Especially since there was a couple of Pacer fans behind us and would yell and boo and the wrong times. The evil looks they got was comical. I just laughed at them. Because we SPANKED THEM. They left early. The amount of alcohol sold was staggering. I'm surprised that no one fell. It was fun watching a few happily sloshed guys. What fun! So sore throats and all we had an excellent time.

Happy New Year and Announcements

First off I just wanted to let everyone know who doesn't know we are expecting on July 16 and I'm about 12 weeks along and hopefully any day will stop the whole nauseous fainting thing. It really is stared to get old.
As for New Years we went to a friends house, played games while the kids ran around on a sugar high. Great fun. Anyway I'm too tired to think of a new years resolution. Maybe next week. Happy New Year's everybody!!

Much anticipated Christmas!

Dale is posing for his Heisman Trophy!
Ammon just wanted to scary Amelia

Mia "Where am I among all these Princesses?"

Michelle and Elisabeth are ready to ROCK!

Christmas morning the kids had to wait for Vernon to wake up! I had gotten up worrying about the Cinnamon Rolls I make. I also wanted the Kitchen and Bathroom to be clean when family and friends arrive for brunch. The kids were hard pressed to wait and finally they were driving me crazy enough I let them wake Vern up. They rest was as always excitement and fun as we watched the kids see what Santa brought. Well picture are better than words anyway so I'll let them do the rest.

Elisabeth

No words can really explain Elisabeth well any of my children really. She is friendly and kind. She is into at the moment Hannah Montana and High School Musical stuff. Loves to sing, dance and play piano. She is generally happy, but loves to tell me exactly what the others are doing. (good, bad and the ugly and trust me sometimes it gets ugly. She is a Diva with out the "I'm the only person is the world" attitude. She is beautiful.

"Hair" today, Gone tommorow!

The phone call from the babysitter was short. " Aah, Loreli cut a little of Amelia's hair." I came home and it wasn't a little. Maybe I'm insane or just this has happened a lot but instead of freaking out, I laughed. What else do you do. I called Brooke, a friend who has helped me with this same situation in the past. She did a great job and I'm grateful for the style of crazy hair. Amelia looks so cute in her new hair style however let's not do this again. I would hate to buzz Amelia's head.

St. Louis, Missouri

As most of you know Vernon has been gone for a little over two week and hopefully will only be gone an other two week. I was able to visit him this last week and it was great, a little bitter sweet though because it was so short. We had a good time. We were also able to visit with Vernon's brother Udell, his wife Yumi, and their adorable little boy Hiayato. We went to The Arch-Way to the West and a botanical Garden, which had a beautiful Climatron that felt and looked like Hawaii. Very Fun!! It's been hard to have Vernon gone but hopefully this will be the last really long trip that he has. He hates it as well so we hope it won't be to much longer.

Growing Up Too Fast

Michelle is beautiful. I must admit a little bit of prejudice. I love her. She is my biggest helper whether it's with watching the other kids or helping me with dinner. I can't believe how old she is. The other day caused a moment of reflection on this very subject. She had asked to try on my shoes for church (something she has done since she was ohhh 2). I said yes of course thinking it would again be something she still couldn't do. To my surprise she fit in them. Talk about your wake up call. One that says "hello, you little girl is growing up way to fast." I guess we need these moments to truly appreciate our children and the moments we have with them.
